Asian Steak Bites

These classic chocolate chip cookies are crispy on the edges, soft and chewy in the center, and packed with rich chocolate chips.   • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a chewier cookie, slightly underbake them.
  • You can add nuts, such as walnuts, for extra crunch.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
