  • Wet Ingredients:
    • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
    • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
    • ¾ cup granulated sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Dry Ingredients:
    • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • ½ tsp salt
  • Add-ins:
    • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prep:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  • Mash Bananas:
    In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  • Combine Wet Ingredients:
    Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the bananas. Mix until well combined.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients:
    In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Combine & Fold:
    Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix. Fold in the chopped nuts gently.
  • Pour & Bake:
    Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle additional nuts on top, if desired. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool & Serve:
    Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!

  • Use a mix of brown and white sugar for a richer flavor.
