  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (220g) brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For crispier cookies, bake an additional 2 minutes.
  • Add a pinch of sea salt on top for extra flavor.
