Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Salmon:
    • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 2 tbsp olive oil (optional, for greasing)
  • For the Maple Dijon Glaze:
    • 3 tbsp Dijon mustard
    • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
    • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • For the Pecan Crust:
    • ½ cup finely chopped pecans
    • 2 tbsp panko breadcrumbs (optional, for extra crunch)
    • 1 tbsp melted butter
    • 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper, and place them in the prepared baking dish.
3️⃣ Make the Maple Dijon Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, maple syrup, lemon juice, and garlic powder. Brush the glaze generously over the tops of the salmon fillets.
4️⃣ Prepare the Pecan Crust: In another bowl, mix the chopped pecans, panko breadcrumbs (if using), and melted butter. Sprinkle the pecan mixture evenly over the glazed salmon, pressing lightly to adhere.
5️⃣ Bake the Salmon: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the pecan crust is golden brown.
6️⃣ Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle fresh parsley over the salmon if desired. Serve warm with your choice of sides and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a sweeter glaze, increase the maple syrup to 3 tablespoons.
  • Use skinless salmon fillets for easier serving, or leave the skin on to help keep the fillets intact during baking.
  • Leftover salmon can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
