Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 8 oz milk chocolate or dark chocolate chips
  • 2 cups roasted, salted peanuts
  • Optional: Sprinkles, sea salt, or festive decorations

Instructions

  • Prepare Your Work Area:
Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats to prevent sticking.
  • Melt the Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted. Alternatively, melt the chocolate in a double boiler over low heat.
  • Mix in the Peanuts:
Stir the roasted peanuts into the melted chocolate until evenly coated.
  • Form the Clusters:
Use a spoon to drop small mounds of the chocolate-peanut mixture onto the prepared baking sheets. Leave space between clusters to prevent sticking.
  • Decorate (Optional):
While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle clusters with sea salt, festive sprinkles, or drizzle with melted white chocolate for decoration.
  • Set the Clusters:
Allow the clusters to cool and harden at room temperature for 2–3 hours, or speed up the process by placing them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  • Store and Enjoy:
Transfer the clusters to an airtight container. Store at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • Nut Options: Substitute peanuts with almonds, cashews, or a mix of your favorite nuts.
  • Add-Ins: Stir in dried cranberries, shredded coconut, or mini marshmallows for extra flavor and texture.
  • Gifting Idea: Wrap clusters in decorative bags or tins for a thoughtful homemade gift.
